Where I am at...

Long time no blog. It has been a busy and challenging year for me, to say the least. In the background I am always thinking of food, creating dishes, tuning flavors and creatively thinking. I feel that more me time and time for my cooking endeavors with Bleu Luna will soon surface. Now that I am on a new chapter in my life.

I am looking into trademarks and copyright. I have many recipes I create that I don't post because they are my own one hit wonders that will continue to take peoples bellies by storm. I would like full credit for them. Plus I need a good camera to take great show casing photo of my work. I eventually want to move my page to another site. In the meantime, I am perfecting dishes I know and transporting recipes into a journal that will eventually turn into a cook book. The dream is there and the desire and I am pursuing it.

Until then, thanks for everyone's encouraging words and belief. There is a timing for everything, an this needs my full attention in order to move forward. I am getting there.

Mmmm..can I get a wet burrito!! ;)

Celadon Catering

Good Morning!! I am borrowing a computer so I may briefly post what is going. I unfortunately do not have my own laptop any longer to freely take photos and blog about the food I cook. Hopefully that will change in the near future.

Today is my catering gig for Celadon. Its a condo community where they are having a private showing of a model that is complete. I got a sneak peek and its an amazing concept and design they have going on there. I am catering for the showing for 50 people max. I have 3 finger foods lined up. First, cheese & chile infused Polenta, but into bite size rectangles with pulled BBQ pork on top. Second, cheesy pesto crescent roll pin wheels, and third my nutella cheesecake rolls. Hopefully I'll get some photos on here of it. I am excited and super tired at the same time.

Hope you all are doing well. Life is as good as you make it. I encourage everyone to pursue their hearts desire. It will not come to you unless..you have to make the first move. :)

Business Cards

Hello hello!! I've missed posting on here. I do apologize, but I am detained by an outside source and do not have computer access as I freely like. Along with that, I'm unable to cook and take photos immediately and post them. Soon to change.

I finally created business cards. I'm quite excited and content with the final products. My first catering gig is on Tuesday. Wish me well and that my appetizers show case well and taste incredible! Catering smaller intimate gatherings is just something to get my feet wet and more experience. I can't see myself catering full dinners and banquets for wedding, at least now. I wouldn't mind being a personal chef and a personal shopper. Now that be a fun side job! I will be working hard and focused in creating a cookbook with tried and rated recipes. I hope for that to be a launching of what Bleu Luna and I are about. Down the road a more advanced interactive website, perhaps with some video of yours truly and my side kick. :) It shall be fun and I very much look forward to it.

I'll try to post again soon and with recipes. Keep sending them positive thoughts and feedback. They are much appreciated and taken to heart.

Happy Chili Sunday!


Hello my favorite followers. My apologies for the lack in posting. Anyone that is close to me, knows that there has been a lot on my plate lately and I'm not in reference to food neither. :) I have many wonderful ideas and creations brewing up a storm within this Chef. Eventually in the near not to distant future, I may be posting duo cooking, we shall see. :) Who doesn't like the idea of cooking, drinks and being merry in a cooking zen world? :) Living for it.

Today I am cold! That is OK, because the Sun is shining beautifully, I am in my season of Autumn, I can wear jeans and a hoodie and cook comfort food and that makes Massi extremely happy! :) In saying that, today I will be cooking up a batch of my Chili. Traditional ground beef style with four different types of Beans. I can't wait! House is going to smell wonderful and tummy will be tortured all day as I make it. I assure you, I will be posting this later on today. After I enjoy a bowl..or two! Good thing about Chili, at least how I make it that its low fat, high fiber and high protein with kicking flavor and heat! Can't wait to show case it for you.

Until then, enjoy this beautiful Sunday that was created for rest, enjoyment and contemplation. I am soaring!

Off to enjoy my yummy Espresso drink! :)

Dreams..things are looking up!



Good Morning my favorite followers. :) What a beautiful weekend in weather it has been. Today I have decided to journal a bit of what is going on in my life. In time much will be revealed but for now, I can say that things are definitely looking up for this Chef.

In two days my status will be changing. To some it may be a bitter sweet, but for me its a new beginning, a rebirth, a second chance, a new lease on life. I admit, there is a down side to all this, but I have been granted peace without any guilt. Many lessons have been learned and one of them is the heart grows back stronger and bigger. I have much more to give now in heart and in spirit and in physical presence.

I have learned that Dreams are not meant to be thought of or dreamed up while sleeping, they are meant to be acted out, to be lived and loved. My mission is to continually dream with my eyes open and pursue it. Live it out. Its not going to come to you, you've got to make it happen! The pursuit of happiness!

I have been asked and with honor I accepted to cater for a gathering in these coming weeks. Finger foods for 50 so I am quite excited! I'm sure nerves will kick in. I am a perfectionist when it comes to this. I pray this is a stepping stone for many other opportunities and a permanent career change in the food industry. For me and my assistant..The Sous Chef. Whom at a later date will be revealed. I am eternally in debt to this individual and to God for giving me such a graceful hand to guide and believe in me. :)

Along with these dreams and pursuit of happiness, I have found myself and growing into a rare bloom. Shedding this hard outer shell that has protected her from life and the world. Thus far 50 lbs ridden of it. I thank my God and my kindred souls for their empowerment and love. I feel that there is nothing I can't do right now. In the midst of all this strength and life I am humbled that God is in control and is the beginner and finisher of all. In saying that, I am grateful to Him for beginning and introducing me to this new life and what has accompanied it.

To you followers, thank- you, for following and encouraging me along. It is inspiring and warming at the same time that people appreciate my food and hospitality. My mission, to have a permanent place where one may go to experience it at any time, and in the process it may feed you but comfort as well.

MIA

Sorry. I've been missing in action here. Been quite busy and consumed with other things, but the weekend is here and I will be dishing out a few things so prepare! Pretty soon when the air is clear on my end, I can focus more on posting daily or at least every other. I have just not cooked really at all this week. Been eating like a rabbit need I mention how HOT it has been! Last thing you want is cooking over a gas stove!
