Pulled Pork Torta

Torta! For those of you that don't know, Torta is a Mexican bread such as this. You make sandwiches out of them. I've never made them before. The partakers of the Torta said it is better than the traditional Mexican ones. I'm happy! If I can make something better than its origin..wow..I feel honored. All I did is give it some love and Massi sass.

Pulled Pork Torta

Pork Butt Roast

1. Seasoned with a special rub. Pan seared it in a pot and added garlic and Chicken stock. Covered and cooked for two hours. Until it fell apart. I then pulled it apart and set it aside.

Assembly time!!......

Torta Bread
Mayo
Shredded Lettuce
Pulled Pork
Avocado
Munster Cheese
Pico de Gallo (Store bought from deli..I used...HOT)
Roma Tomatoes
Salt/Pepper

1. Grab a Panini maker or press or use a big pan and press it down on top with the bottom of another small pan. Heat the pan up.

2. While pan is heating, slice open the torta, only don't let it slice all the way through. Put may on both sides of bread. Put lettuce, avocado, pork, salt pepper, pico de gallo, cheese and tomato. Put in press or pan and cook on both sides pressing down until it starts getting toasty and cheese starts to melt.

I served mine with kettle cooked Jalapeno Krunchers. Yummo! Looks so darn good. I didn't eat it, but OH sooooooo tempting!! I love me some hungry men.
